What Happened To Sam Puckett?
"It will be our little secret..."
Samantha (Sam) Puckett is the lovably violent character from both iCarly and Sam & Cat. It's no secret that she is always tired, hungry and lazy. This post will take a look at the medical aspect of things, but a few other ones too, religion and philosophy.
What turned Sam into this?
When in iCarly, she was all about the huggies? That's 25 hugs, and only 1 was rejected.
The first visual representation of Sam is that she is a bully and wants physical control over people.
Another first sight of Sam is when Carly states that Sam always has to pee. This could be a sign of diabetes. Sam is always about the sugar water.
Sam's blood sugar is low.
She drank 5 sodas before doing an episode of iCarly. What is a potential cause for always being thirsty? One cause is drinking stuff with sugar, which she does. Another potential cause is eating sodium. Sam is always about the ham.
Sam and her ham.
Her mother only cooks for her twice a year, and she likes home cooked meals, like Spencer's spaghetti tacos.
Is Sam flirting with Spencer? Or is she just happy that he's making something?
Is Sam flirting with Spencer? Or is she just happy that he's making something?
Moving on from eating and drinking, and possibly flirting with Spencer, now the boy crushes. She is in the 8th grade in Season 1, and hasn't had a boyfriend since the 5th grade. When Carly likes a boy in Season 1 Episode 4, Sam doesn't pursue him but helps her do so.
Carly would love to bake cookies on his chest, and Sam would like to eat them.
This seems like an oddly placed set of 2 videos here in Season 1 Episode 8, but something in particular happens to Sam at this moment and in the next video. We'll touch on that later.
The two eventually do make up.
Season 2 is a very dramatic year for Sam, there were several awakenings inside of her. She found out that she likes boys, even possibly liked Freddie, her relationship with Spencer gets weird and her twin sister, Melanie, comes back into her life.
Carly sometimes wonders why she even keeps inviting Sam over to her apartment. It's like Sam has a hold on Carly's mind.
Sam and Carly both fall in love with a boy at the same time, so they make a bet whoever kisses him first wins. Sam says that no amount of money would get her to kiss Freddie. It's ironic, because it's not too long that she will share her first kiss with him.
Gary happened to walk by, and Sam called him gorgeous. She is turning boy crazy, does she know what she wants?
Despite that Sam thinks that playing video games and televising about it is a huge waste of time, she likes Spencer enough to cheer him on, then to hug him when he sets a new world record.
She seems to be excited that Mark is a senior. What happened to Sam that she likes all of these boys?
It's just in Season 1 Episode 4 where Sam doesn't seem to be interested in dating at all.
Sam thinks about Freddie for the first time sexually, and she lost her cookies. Butterflies in her stomach?
This is actually a clever metaphor that Sam made a pass at Spencer, and he tried to go with it, but society's pressure (the groin pain) can't have a 28 year old guy date a 14 year old girl.
Sam then goes after her next logical choice, Freddie.
She thinks that Carter is cute.
It was Sam's birthday, and everybody took turns giving her compliments. However all the stuff was about fighting and pulling pranks, boy-ish stuff. She starts to question her sexuality and wants to be more like Carly.
She wants to be in a "normal" relationship, but doesn't want to have to work for it. She does go through with it, and it's painfully obvious that she's uncomfortable.
It didn't last too long.
Sam wasn't worried that she didn't do her project, and would have to spend the weekend camping with her hippie teacher.
Did she wing it like a boss, or did something more sinister happen here? It shall be revealed a little later, Sam has a dark secret.
Sam revels in other people's pain, it's like mental food for her. But something pivotal happens in that episode.
Spencer finds out that Sam is having nightmares about a monster eating her soup, and then decides to help her.
He tries to get into her psyche, and she playfully refuses to go along with it. They then go out for ribs. They don't mention that it's weird that they are technically going out on a date, as it's just the two of them, pointing that they have spent alone time before.
Spencer really did make soup, and dressed up as a monster to take it away from her. Sam beat the snot out of him, but didn't revel in his pain when she found out it was him.
Carly's former best friend came back into her life, trying to butt Sam out of the picture. Sam went to Freddie for help, and what happens? He doesn't help her.

Carly's former best friend came back into her life, trying to butt Sam out of the picture. Sam went to Freddie for help, and what happens? He doesn't help her.
But Sam has to be in a mentally stable mindset for it to work.
Spencer had ice on his crotch, much akin to "taking a cold shower", because there was a heat wave, and Sam way that she dressed to stay cool.
Sam very rarely shares anything willingly. She is making sure that he is comfortable.
Spencer paid a lot of money to treat Sam for being good for 10 whole days. He bought a ticket for a tour of the Fat Cake factory in Canada. His crotch area was tight because certain parts of his anatomy was aroused at her happiness.
Sam cries at the beauty of the factory, and called herself Momma while thanking Spencer for his more than kind gift.
She then sassed him, and he made a point to remind her that she has a crush on him.
As it turns out, T-Bo is a genie. This makes Spencer and Sam's practice of the dark arts make sense. Spencer wished for eternal youth. He can change his age at will. Sam eventually learns this practice. Her age is only mentioned specifically once. In Season 3 Episode 13, it is mentioned that Sam is 15 years old. Every other instance is just a mention of a birthday, etc. A full timeline will be mentioned later in the post, but Sam stopped aging at the age of 16. Like Edward Cullin from Twilight, she's 16, but has been 16 for a while. In Sam & Cat, her age is mentioned once, in #MyPoober, and she is listed at 16 years old.
Sam doesn't ask Spencer where his clothes are, she's used to him naked, but Carly is the one who asks.
It's finally out in the open, Sam is starting to use the Force out in public.
Sam and Spencer have special code words when greeting each other. They let each other know what mood they are in when they greet each other.
Momma wants to spend some alone time with Spencer to help him fix the motorcycle, which could take hours, even days...
Sam immediately helped Spencer in his most dire moment of need. She also stayed up all night to help him fix the motorcycle. Spencer then gave her a $4,000 motorcycle out of the goodness of his heart, no underlying motives or anything...
When Sam met Cat, she only had one set of clothes. Because if she had more clothes, she could have just changed into them instead of waiting for the dryer. Cat bought her all of the outfits that Sam has in Sam & Cat. Sam got lucky when she found Cat, she was looking for someone that was easy to manipulate but was also rich. For unknown reasons, Sam departed away from Spencer and it's really never mentioned again. Cat is the new Spencer and Carly, she keeps Sam out of trouble and she finances everything. Sam is now living the good life.
She doesn't waste any time using the Force on Cat, even from Day #1.
So Sam doesn't wear rings? What about the 15 episodes in iCarly Season 1 in which she does? Maybe Sam doesn't wear rings like in the marital sense. Her mother was engaged 18 times, so stable marriages are not the Puckett way.
Much of the rest of their relationship was already covered in my Cat Valentine post. Flash forwarding to the end.
Cat goes away on business with Dice, and Nona is going to be the room mate for Sam for the weekend. Despite Nona wanted to "bump butts" with Sam, it's doing really well. She does Sam's laundry.
She makes Sam lunch. She basically becomes the mother that Sam always wanted.
Sam basically didn't need Cat anymore. She had Nona, who makes her food, does her work and pays for her stuff. By choosing not to save Cat at the end, that was Sam's final part of her dark arts training, the blood of an innocent is on her hands.
Spencer got the tickets when he was 10 years old, and it's mentioned that the tickets are 15 years old. Spencer can reverse his age at will. Spencer was 14-15ish in the 9th grade 14 years ago. He's logically 28-29, but the numbers don't add up.
